🍍 Freeze A Colada

(Frozen + Fresh + Sweet)

ingredient list - Summer Just Got Better with This Mocktail Menu You’ll Love - Freezeacolada

A creamy, dreamy, alcohol-free tropical delight that’s like a beach vacation in a glass—no passport (or hangover) required. It’s perfect because you can whip up a pitcher of this tropical delight and everyone-young and old-will keep coming back for more!

Ready for the fun twist you can make on this drink to turn it into a drool-worthy dessert? Omit the coconut water from the recipe. Instead of a drink, you’ll have a fresh, fruity, and delightful sorbet that will have spoons scraping the bottom of the bowl so fast you’ll be running to the store for more ingredients stat!

🥭 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed coconut milk (or more to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ¼–½ cup cold water or coconut water (adjust for blending consistency)
  • Optional: pinch of salt to enhance the flavors
  • Optional garnish: pineapple wedge, lime wheel, shredded coconut

Instructions:

  1. Blend it up: In a high-powered blender, combine the frozen pineapple, frozen mango, sweetened condensed coconut milk, lime juice, and ¼ cup of water or coconut water.
  2. Adjust as needed: Blend until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add more liquid a splash at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Taste test: Give it a quick taste and adjust. Want more tang? Add a bit more lime. Craving extra sweetness? Drizzle in a bit more condensed coconut milk.
  4. Serve: Pour into a chilled glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge or lime wheel for that tropical flair.

Food Pairing: Grilled Pineapple & Halloumi Salad, Thai Coconut Curry, and Tropical Tres Leches Cake

🏜️ The Desert Saint

(Savory • Spicy • Briny • Bold)

ingredient list for Summer Just Got Better with This Mocktail Menu You’ll Love - The Desert Saint

Oh yes—let’s take the bold, savory flair of a Desperado cocktail and turn it into a badass alcohol-free version that still kicks like a cowboy boot to the taste buds. We’re leaning into those briny, spicy, umami-rich flavors to create an alcohol-free Desperado-inspired cocktail with serious edge. Think: Bloody Mary meets dirty martini, with a desert twist.

Incorporating bold, powerful flavors into your mocktail menu isn’t just flavorful. It’s actually an excellent way to stay alcohol-free by stimulating your palate and endorphins without booze. Your pleasure center says – “YES! Give me more!” without the addictive and risky side effects that alcohol has.

🧄 Ingredients:

  • 2 oz alcohol-free tequila (like Lyre’s Agave Blanco or Ritual Zero Proof Tequila Alternative)
  • ½ oz alcohol-free dry vermouth (like Lyre’s Apéritif Dry, or see homemade option below)
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz green olive brine
  • 1 tsp prepared horseradish
  • 1 small garlic clove, finely grated (or ¼ tsp garlic paste)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Crack of black pepper
  • Optional: 2 dashes of hot sauce or a slice of fresh jalapeño for heat
  • Optional garnish: lime wheel, stuffed olive, pickled jalapeño, or a mini pepper skewer

Instructions:

  1. Muddle the garlic + horseradish:
In the bottom of a shaker, combine the grated garlic, horseradish, salt, and pepper. Add the lime juice and olive brine. Stir to combine and mellow the garlic slightly.
  2. Add liquids + ice:
Pour in the AF tequila and AF vermouth. Add ice and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds.
  3. Strain and serve:
Double strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass (you can serve it neat or over a large ice cube).
  4. Garnish like a rebel:
Add a salty rim if you’re into that kind of thing. Otherwise, garnish with an olive or jalapeño for extra kick.

🧪 DIY Non-Alcoholic Vermouth (Optional):

If you don’t have an AF vermouth, here’s a homemade workaround that brings that bitter-herbal dryness:

  • ¼ cup brewed chamomile or green tea (cooled)
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or rosemary (steeped in the tea)
  • ½ tsp orange peel zest
  • Pinch of salt

Let the herbs steep in the tea for 10–15 mins, strain, and refrigerate. Use ½ oz in place of vermouth.

🔥 Pro Tip:

Want to batch this for brunch or a desert-themed dinner party? Multiply the recipe by 4, shake with ice, and strain into a pitcher. Guests can pour over ice and garnish as they like.

Food Pairing: Cheese & Jalapeño Tamales, Paprika-Spiced Sweet Potato Fries, Lemon & Olive Oil Cake

🥤 The Choco-Latte Sundae Smash

(Sweet + Frosty + Smooth)

ingredient list for Summer Just Got Better with This Mocktail Menu You’ll Love - Choco-Latte Sundae Smash

July is a sweet month, celebrating treats like berries, ice cream, chocolate, cheesecake, and more. It’s either a dentist’s dream or a diabetic’s nightmare. We can all agree that an indulgence once in a while is a treat worth having. The third week in July is packed full of sugary celebrations, so we’ve gone ahead and packed a punch with this drink option!

The Choco-Latte Sundae Smash is a peanut butter-chocolate-coffee milkshake sundae hybrid that celebrates every sweet holiday of the week. It’s inspired by Peanut Butter & Chocolate Day, National Hot Fudge Sundae Day, National Coffee Milkshake Day, and National Milk Chocolate Day. We’ve also included an alternate recipe below that those watching their sugar intake can indulge in!

🍦 Ingredients (makes 2 epic servings):

For the Milkshake:

  • 2 cups coffee ice cream (or vanilla + 1 tsp instant espresso powder)
  • ¾ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • ¼ cup milk chocolate chips, melted
  • 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp hot fudge sauce
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (trust me, it boosts the flavor)

For Topping:

  • Whipped cream
  • Hot fudge drizzle
  • Crushed milk chocolate shavings
  • Mini peanut butter cups or chopped peanuts
  • Optional: Coffee beans or chocolate-covered espresso beans for garnish
  • Optional: A cherry on top (because it’s a sundae… duh)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the swirl: Drizzle a spoonful of hot fudge around the inside of your glasses or mugs.
  2. Blend the shake: Add ice cream, milk, melted chocolate, peanut butter, hot fudge, vanilla, and salt into a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour & stack: Pour into your fudge-swirl glasses. Top with whipped cream, an extra drizzle of hot fudge, and your favorite sundae toppings.
  4. Sip or spoon: Grab a straw and a spoon—this baby’s thick, rich, and not afraid to make a mess.

🥑🌿 Avocado Mojito Verde

(Creamy + Citrusy + Herb-forward)

ingredient list for Summer Just Got Better with This Mocktail Menu You’ll Love - Avocado Mojito Verde

This isn’t your average mocktail—it’s a culinary cocktail, perfect for brunch, taco night, or impressing your avocado-obsessed friends. When thinking of a mocktail menu, you’ll love this drink screams – sophisticated, upscale, and unique.

The Avocado Mojito Verde is a zesty, herbaceous, and luxuriously smooth drink that’s part mojito, part avocado lime cooler, and 100% refreshing—with zero booze. Want to really take that flavor profile up a notch? You can add a splash of cucumber juice for a cooler, cleaner finish, rim the glass with Tajin or chili-lime salt for a spicy-savory twist, or swap sparkling water with kombucha for a probiotic boost (ginger-lime or mint-lime works great)!

🍃 Ingredients (Makes 2 servings):

  • ½ ripe avocado
  • 1 cup cold sparkling water or lime-flavored soda water
  • Juice of 2 limes (about 4 tbsp)
  • 1 tbsp honey, agave, or monk fruit syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 8–10 fresh mint leaves
  • 3–4 fresh basil leaves (optional, but highly recommended for savory depth)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Ice for serving
  • Optional: 1–2 thin slices of jalapeño for a spicy kick
  • Garnish: mint sprig, lime wheel, or even a thin avocado slice on a pick

Instructions:

  1. Muddle the herbs: In a cocktail shaker or bowl, gently muddle the mint and basil with lime juice, sweetener, and salt until fragrant.
  2. Blend it up: Add the avocado and ½ cup sparkling water. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Build the drink: Fill two glasses with ice. Pour the avocado mojito base over the ice, then top each with remaining sparkling water (¼ cup each). Stir gently to combine.
  4. Garnish like a pro: Add a sprig of mint, a lime wheel, or a few avocado cubes on a cocktail skewer.

Food Pairing: Charred Corn Salad with Feta & Lime, Zucchini Noodles with Cilantro-Pistachio Pesto, or Coconut-Lime Chia Pudding
